AJ was born November 30, 2013 in Mecklenburg County, NC a son of Samantha L. Carpenter and Adam Mabry.
Surviving are his grandparents, Danny and Vickie Freeman Carpenter, who lovingly brought him to their home to care for him after being discharged from the hospital when he was 2 months old; his sister, Jaycee Lynn Carpenter; his aunt, Tiffney Danielle Carpenter; his uncle, Randell Glenn Sellers and fianc, Bailey Rhynes and their child, Case Wayne Sellers; his great- grandparents, Betty and Vaden Freeman, Carol Downer Griffin and Maxine Childs; his very special nurse who has cared for him since he was 3 months old, Joy Austin and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
AJ was an angel sent to Danny and Vickie from above and he brought much joy to them. He will always be remembered as a bright spot for the joy he brought to their home. We rejoice knowing he has been fully healed and is once again an angel with the Lord looking down on his loving grandparents.
