LILESVILLE - Mr. Adolphus Hilderbrand, 79, of Concord and formerly of Lilesville, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Big Elm Nursing Home in Kannapolis.
Services will be 11:00am Monday, September 22, 2014 by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park with Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Adolphus was born August 27, 1935 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Forrest James Hilderbrand and the late Corrine Mae Knotts Hilderbrand. He had worked with the late Fred Williams, a well-known antique dealer in Lilesville for many years, was a veteran of the United States Army and attended Lilesville Baptist Church.
Surviving are his companion and care-giver, Carol Ann Harkey of Concord; his sister, Ann Parrish of Wadesboro and his nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, James, Forrest 'June', and John Hildrebrand, Ruby Carpenter, May Martin and Camilla Terry.
