WADESBORO - Mrs. Alberta Parker Pegram, 84, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe.
Funeral services have been rescheduled for 2:00pm Saturday February 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Hunter and Rev. Gene Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Alberta was born May 1, 1929 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Albert Luther Parker and the late Lillie Mae Allen Parker. She was retired from Sears and was a member of First Baptist Church, Wadesboro.
Surviving are her children, Joe (Gayle) Pegram, Jr. and Frankie (Joannie) Pegram both of Wadesboro and Sandra (Rod) Mabry of Peachland; her grandchildren, Michael (Rachel) Pegram of Mint Hill, Katie (Brad) Green of Ansonville, Franklin (Allyce) Pegram of Wadesboro and Candice Mabry of Peachland; her great-grandchildren, Noah, Caleb, Cali and Ella; her sisters, Alice Meeks of Wadesboro and Betty Jean Boatwright of Jacksonville, FL; and her special friend, Rosa Wall of Wadesboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Thomas Pegram and by her sisters and brother, Virginia Adams, Ruth Mason, Louella Parker, Louise Alexander and Jody Parker.
