WADESBORO Mr. Allen Wayne "Beebop" Henry, 42, died Friday, November 24, 2017 at Duke Hospice House in Durham. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, November 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery in Polkton. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the funeral home. Beebop was born July 4, 1975 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Jerry Wayne Henry and the late Martha Meachum Henry. He was a graduate of Anson High School and was employed with Columbus McKinnon. He was an avid baseball and football card collector and made many friends across the United States because of his collection. He was also an avid, Duke, Buffalo Bills and Boston Redsox fan. Surviving are his fianc, Amy Carpenter; his children, James Henry and fianc, Hannah Nelson of Rockingham and Taylor Golden of Peachland and one brother, Nome Henry of Killeen, TX. Everybody loved Beebop and beneath his rather tough exterior one could find a man with a big heart and loving spirit. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
