“A precious one from us is gone, a voice we love is stilled, a place is vacant in our hearts that never can be filled” Amy Arlene Parson Radford was born June 11, 1971 in Chesterfield, South Carolina and was the daughter of Mary Pratt Parson and the late Willie Gene Parson, Sr. She gained her wings and went to be with Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at her home. She was 49 years of age. She confessed Christ at an early age and grew up in Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Morven and was a member of The Living Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Charlotte. Amy was a 1989 graduate of Anson High School and attended Pembroke State University. She later earned an associate degree from South Piedmont Community College. She was employed with Charlotte Ear, Nose and Throat Physicians Office as their receptionist. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 16 years, Artis Radford; her mother, Mary Pratt Parson of Wadesboro; her step-daughter, Tiest Radford of Wilmington; her brother and sister-in-law, Willie Gene Parson, Jr. and Diane of Wadesboro; her nieces, Olivia Parson and Aaliyah Parson both of Wadesboro; her great-nephew, Kyrie Barrett; her aunts, Lilly Ruth Sturdivant and husband, Larry, Mary Parson (Bernard Scales) and Lucy Pratt all of Wadesboro and Ida Lee of Virginia; her uncle, Robert Lee Pratt of New Jersey; her dear and loving friend, Cynthia Redfearn and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 26, 2021, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Park. Public viewing will be on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Leavitt Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit at either the home of her mother in Wadesboro or at her home in Monroe.
