Lou's brothers from North Carolina, Roland Scott, along with his wife Donna, and Jeff Scott were able to visit Lou at her bedside to provide her with love and support, and even shared a couple of laughs with her, as her health declined. Her sister, Anna Carol Scott Williams, also from North Carolina, was able to share her love with Lou over the phone, which provided Lou with additional comfort.
After spending her early years of marriage raising a family, Lou went to college and earned a degree in education. She worked as a special education teacher in the Virginia Beach City Public School System until her retirement.
Lou's sons will always remember the countless hours that she spent volunteering at the concession stand at their little league baseball games and all the rides to and from their baseball, basketball, and football practices and games. More importantly, both sons recall as a young, impressionable elementary school students, Lou would place loving notes in their lunchboxes that would remind them to love God and treat others kindly.
Lou did not want a memorial service, so in honoring her wishes, one will not be held. Please leave any prayers or fond memories of Lou in the comment's section of her online obituary.
Lastly, Lou wanted all her family and friends to know how much she loved them, that she was eagerly waiting to meet God, and that one day we'll all be together again.
