On Monday, July 15, 2019, while a patient at Atrium Health Northeast in Concord, Betty Annette Morris went to be with her Lord and Savior.
She was born April 19, 1949 in Wadesboro, NC and was a daughter of the late James Thomas Watson and the late Lenora Gibson Watson.
Ann, as many called her, was known for her big heart and the love she gave unconditionally. She loved traveling, her family and sitting on the fishing banks with her husband.
She leave to cherish her memory; her husband, Miles of the home; stepchildren, Jessica Ward (Earl), Miles Morris, II, and Matthew Morris all of Elkton, MD; 13 step-grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Betty Morris of Columbus, OH; her sisters, Vanetta Graham of Tuscon, AZ, Rosia Chambers (Thomas) Juretha Colson, and Mary McLean (Howard) all of Wadesboro, NC and Shirley Ingram (Jimmy) of High Point, NC; her brothers, James T. Watson (Rita) of Brooklyn, NY, William Watson (Olive) of Lilesville and Jeffrey Watson (Lisa) of Wadesboro, NC; her sisters-in-law, Nancy Bender and Brenda Amburgrey both of Columbus, OH; her brother-in-law, Tommy Morris (Rhonda) of Salt Lake City, UT and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Leola Watson, Mary Lee Watson, Sally Watson and Johnny Watson.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, July 22, 2019 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Flatrock New Life Center Cemetery, Morven.
The family will greet friends from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Monday and other times at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, William and Ollie Watson, Stanback Ferry Rd., Lilesville.
