Anna Baker Murdock

WADESBORO - Mrs. Anna Baker Murdock, 96, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Anson Health and Rehabilitation in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. D.W. Carpenter and Rev. Wayne Luck officiating. Interment will follow Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Anna was born January 10, 1921 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late William Jackson Baker and the late Nezzie Irene Chewning Baker. Surviving are her sons, Donald L. (Mary) Murdock of Ellerbe and Thomas (Tammy) Murdock of Morven; her grandchildren, Vinita (Will) Williams of Greenville, Brittney Leigh (Josh) Terry of Ellerbe, T.C. Murdock, Jr. of Wadesboro, Christy (Tim) Shephard of Rockingham and Randy Murdock of Polkton; 8 great-grandchildren and her brothers, W.J. (Brenda) Baker of Wadesboro and Richard (Joan) Baker of Stallings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lawrence Murdock and her brothers and sisters, Gene Baker, Hurley Baker, Norman Baker, Thomas Baker, Edward Baker, Iva Mae Baker, Irene Knotts, Willie Carpenter and Myrtle Morris.
