WADESBORO - Mrs. Anne Moore Thomas, 91, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Ambassador Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, March 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Anne was born August 11, 1925 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Robert Augusta Moore and the late Hanna Elizabeth Peguese Moore. She was a graduate of Deep Creek High School and had worked with Allen Floral Gardens, Hornwood and owned and operated a beauty salon for many years.
She was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Wadesboro where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School class. She was well-known for the many fried apple pies she made and shared with so many.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Doug Perry of Marion, SC; her grandsons, Josh Beachum of Aynor, SC and Chip Beachum of Manning, SC; her granddaughter, Melissa Durham of Shamong, NJ; her great-grandchildren, Jessica Faulkenbury of Loris, SC, Summer Beachum of Manning, SC, and Jacob, Grant, and Hope Durham of Shamong, NJ; her great-great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jessie Faulkenbury and her sister, Sadie Waddell of Wadesboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Greene Thomas and her brothers and sisters, Carl Moore, Willie Moore, Rob Moore, Nancy Brock, Virginia Chewning, Ellie Bowman, Ollie Short and Maggie Lear.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church, Building Fund, 6757 Watson Bay Court, Marion, SC 29571.
