PEACHLAND - Mrs. Annie Janie Hinson, 82, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Oakdale Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday, November 7, 2016 at Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro and other times at the home. Annie was born November 20, 1933 in Union County, NC and was a daughter of the late Annie Cox McManus and the late Robert McManus. She worked for a number of years in the textile industry, having worked at West Knitting Mills. She was a faithful member of Oakdale Baptist Church, where she enjoyed serving in the nursery. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Larry Woodall of the home; her grandchildren, David (Barbara) Woodall and Jeremiah (Jessica) Woodall both of Peachland, Tiffany (Dustin) Tallent of Norwood and Joshua Woodall of the home; her great-grandchildren, Danielle, Loralei, Taylor, Paisley, Hunter, Aiden, Zoey and Riley; her sister and brother, Linny Gardner of Chesterfield, SC and Jasper McManus of Marshville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryce David Hinson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church, 3304 NC 218, Polkton, NC 28135.
