MORVEN - Mr. Arlon Lee James 'Jim' Guidry, 70, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his home. Memorial services will be 11:00am Friday, January 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will greet friends following the service. Jim was born September 19, 1944 in Rayne, LA a son of the late Vincent and Elmae Thibedeaux Guidry. He had worked for several years in office equipment sales and service. Surviving are his wife, Karen Pratt Guidry of the home; his children, Denise Marceaux of Eagle Pass, TX, Angela (Chris) Richard of Carencro, LA, Michael (Jennifer) Guidry of Hammond, LA, Elizabeth (Greg) Knight and Katie Guidry both of Lafayette, LA; his sisters, Shirlene (Donald) Dugas of St. Amant, LA, Azena May (Bob) McCorquodale of Lake Charles, LA, Nettie (Stephen) Henry of Lafayette, LA and Vernita (Jack) Lynch of Beaumont, TX; his mother-in-law, Janet Pratt of Morven and his sister-in-law, Kimberly Hight of South Port and 9 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Vincent and Joseph Guidry and father-in-law, Rev. Bob Pratt.
