Barbara Jean Hilton Furr

Mrs. Barbara Jean Hilton Furr of Polkton, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday at Freedom Baptist Church, 5964 Hwy 218, Peachland, NC. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM. Barbara was born in York County, SC, a daughter of the late Marion Hency Hilton and the late Faye Hope Howell Hilton. She had worked at both Polkton Shirt Co. and for the Ma-Leck Woodcrafts Co. in Wingate. She was a member at Freedom Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Henry C. Furr, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Becky Tucker (Eddie) of Chesterfield, SC; a son, Henry C. Furr, III (Melissa) of Polkton; and four grandchildren, Kaylan and Erin Tucker and Jesse and Brianna Furr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Marion H. Hilton, Jr.
