POLKTON- Mrs. Lillian Beatrice Preslar Perry, 92, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, February 20, 2012 in the Polkton United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Sides and Rev. Melvin Keziah officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home.
Bea was born in Anson County, NC November 18, 1919 a daughter of the late George Preslar and Cassie Ellen Floyd Preslar. She was retired from Polkton Shirt Mfg., and was a member of Polkton United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her sons, William 'Bill' Perry and wife, Connie of Polkton NC, Joseph 'Bobby' Perry and wife, Kay of Polkton and James 'Jimmy' Perry of Polkton; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild. Also surviving are her two special friends, Bobbie Ann Wright and Debbie Williams; and her faithful pet companion, Tina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Josiah Perry, Jr., and her siblings, Louise Flake, Kate White, Ruth Sloan and Ethel Griffin.
