Mrs. Beatrice Evie Robinson Williams, 84, of Chestertown, MD and formerly of Wadesboro died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown, MD. Funeral services will be 12:00pm Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the church for one hour prior to the services. Bea was born in Southwest Virginia on December 29, 1926 a daughter of the late John and Mollie Marcum Robinson. She retired from the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Following her retirement, she and her late husband, Wade Hampton Williams, moved to Wadesboro in 1989 to build their retirement home. While in Wadesboro, she worked for a period of time with Hospice of Anson County. She professed faith in Christ at a very early age and was always active in church work from the early 1960's until her health declined. She was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, Wadesboro and was faithful until she relocated to Chestertown, MD in 2010. She leaves her children, Lola Marie Brockman of Chestertown, MD, Bevely Anne Mills of Killeen, TX and Randall Steve Rogers of Chestertown, MD; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her step-children, Wade Hampton Williams, Jr. of Ellicott City, MD and Mary Debes of Mt. Airy, MD and five step-grandchildren. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ, her church family and all her friends and family. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
