PEACHLAND Following a courageous battle against cancer, Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" Sikes Wilson, 49, claimed the victory over death and went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 13, 2018 while in the care of Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC.
There will be a service to celebrate Beckys life at 11:00am Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Hopewell United Methodist Church with Rev. Patrick Ledford, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro.
Becky was born June 28, 1969 in Anson County, NC the daughter of Joyce Treadaway Sikes and the late Paul Jones Sikes, Sr. She was a graduate of Anson High School and worked at Brown Creek Animal Hospital.
She was a life-time member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and held strong to her faith in Christ.
Surviving are her husband, Reece Wilson; her sons, Riley Terry and Ryan Terry; her mother, Joyce Sikes; her brother, Paul Sikes, Jr. all of Peachland and her nieces, Ashley Brooks and husband, Sam of Salisbury and Abbey Sikes of Peachland.
Becky loved her sons dearly and was very proud of their accomplishments. She loved and cared for animals not only in a professional setting but as a volunteer as well.
