WADESBORO - On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, Mr. Benjamin Leroy Burr, 84, passed away peacefully at Meadowview Terrace Assisted Living in Wadesboro.
Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, April 12, 2024, by the graveside at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Ben was born August 14, 1939, in Anson County, NC, and was a son of the late Roy James Burr and the late Jessie Mae Hooks Burr. He was a graduate of Wadesboro High School and a life-long member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.
He owned and operated Ben Burr Home Repairs for more than 40 years and maintained an impeccable reputation among his clients.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 65 years, Becky Burns Burr; his son and daughter-in-law, Benny and Dianne Burr of Wadesboro; his beloved Shitzu, Zak; his sisters, Louise Stiles of High Point and Linda Edwards of Wadesboro and his nieces and nephews and their families.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of both Anson Health and Rehab and Meadowview Terrace Assisted Living for the care they gave Ben and especially to Gentiva Home Care and Hospice for all they have done for him and to allow him to live his final days with peace and dignity.
