Wadesboro - Mrs. Bernice Stanback Teal, daughter of the late Ray Boggan and Louise Redfern Boggan was born December 6, 1946 in Stanly County, NC.
Resting peacefully in her home, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 28, 2016. She was 69 years of age.
She attended the public school of Ansonville, North Carolina and was employed with United Knitting Mill until her health declined. She enjoyed spending time with family, watching television and cookouts. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Clyde Boggan, Charlie Steve Boggan, Frank Boggan, Fisher Boggan and Walter McDonald and two sisters, Myrtle Tillman and Mary Lee McLendon.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, three daughters, Elaine Stanback, Lisa Stanback and Latoya (Christopher) McNeil all of Wadesboro; four sons, Bruce Stanback of Elizabeth City, NC, Daniel Stanback and Elvis Stanback both of Wadesboro and Tony (Lakesha) Stanback of Lilesville, NC; two brothers, Bobby (Ethel) Boggan of Marshville, NC and Larry Boggan; of Wadesboro, NC; one sister, Brenda Jean Singleton of High Point, NC; two sisters-in-=law, Vera Boggan of Winston Salem, NC and Betty G. Boggan of High Point, NC. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her wonderful memories to a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Pastor Iris Tillman officiating and Evangelist Edward Leak giving the eulogy.
