WADESBORO - Mrs. Betty Harris Lee, 57, departed her life on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her home.
Services will be 2:00pm Saturday, September 15, 2012 by the graveside in Henry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lilesville.
Betty was born November 20, 1954 to the late Al Harris and the late Goldie Spencer Harris. She was educated in the public schools of Anson County, graduating from Bowman High School. She worked at Charles Craft in Wadesboro as a lab technician until the plant closed. Later she became employed by Anson Community Hospital Dietary Department until failing health disabled her.
Betty loved watching sci-fi movies, relaxing on the porch and her family. Most of all 'MeMe' as she was affectionately called, enjoyed time with her beloved grandchildren, Kyla and JoJo.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Alexis Lee of Charlotte, NC and Tiffany Harris of Wadesboro, NC; her grandchildren, Kyla Michelle and Kelvin Joseph 'Jo Jo' Culbertson, Jr.
Also surviving are her beloved sisters, Nellie Wilson of Lilesvile, Bernice Wall and Mary (Lewitt) Melton both of Wadesboro, Bobbie (Alvin) Patterson of Salisbury; beloved brothers, Robert Harris, James Harris and Terry Harris all of Wadesboro and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Theodore, Alfonza and Tommy Harris, her sister, Dorothy Mae Harris Smith and her half-sister, Eliza Grace.
