Betty Zane Campbell Lee

WADESBORO - Mrs. Betty Zane Campbell Lee, 85, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System Anson in Wadesboro. The family will greet friends from 2:00pm until 3:00pm Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Sandy Plains United Methodist Church with a graveside service following the visitation in the church cemetery. Betty Zane was born January 30, 1032 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late William Alexander Campbell and the late Bessie Irene Lang Campbell. She was a graduate of Morven High School and worked as a nursing assistant at Wadesboro Nursing Home for many years and later as a private duty in home care aide. She was a member of Sandy Plains United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Karen (Ronnie) Nicholson of Mt. Croghan, SC and Kim Burr of Pageland, SC; her grandchildren, Stephanie Nicholson of Mt. Croghan, SC and Stetson Burr of Pageland, SC and her brother, Alex Campbell of Morven. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Homer Jim Lee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandy Plains United Methodist Church, c/o James Phillips, 1591 Previtte Road, Morven, NC 28119. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
