WADESBORO – Mrs. Betty Griggs Ratliff, 81, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Atrium Health Lincoln in Lincolnton, NC. Services for both Betty and her son Charles will be 11:00am Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service. Betty was born July 24, 1939 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Robert Griggs and the late Daisy Ruth McQuage Griggs Eddins. She worked for many years at First United Methodist Church as a Teacher’s Assistant at the Through the Week School. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters and brothers, Virginia (Claude) Vincent of Myrtle Beach, SC, Louise Dutton (Bobby Martin) of Ansonville, Lou Funderburke (Tim) of Peachland, Ken Eddins (Marlene) of Marshville, Ronnie Eddins (Carol) of Lexington, SC and Gloria Hagan of Enid, OK; her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim Ratliff (Rovetta), Henry Ratliff, Clinton Ratliff, and Bobby Ratliff (Linda) all of Cheraw, SC, Jerry Ratliff (Rebecca) of Charlotte and Becky Oliver of Ruby, SC and her nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Albert Ratliff. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Fall Branch Baptist Church, 2248 Ingram Mountain Rd., Lilesville, NC 28091. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
