Wadesboro - Mrs. Betty Sue Lear Williams, 59, died Monday, July 10, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe. The family will greet friends from 4:30pm until 6:00pm Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Leavitt Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Anson Memorial Park with Rev. Barry Gerald officiating. Betty Sue was born August 23, 1957 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late J.B. Lear and the late Frances Phelps Lear. She was currently employed with Medical Specialties in Wadesboro and had worked at Wal-Mart in Wadesboro for a number of years where she met and greeted many customers with her warm heart and beautiful smile. She attended Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Charlie Jones Williams; her daughter, Susan Williams of Wadesboro; her granddaughters, who were much like her daughters, Makayla and Jada Williams of Wadesboro; her sister, Darnel Brown (Joey) Teal of Morven; her brothers, James (Donna) Lear of Wytheville, VA and Phillip (Dorothy) Lear of Wadesboro; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Brenda Bryant, Gornie (Lucille) Williams, Karen Treadaway and Ernie (Debra) Williams all of Wadesboro and her nieces and nephews and their families. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
