Bobbie Cook Stephens

WADESBORO - On Sunday, February 25, 2024, Mrs. Bobbie Cook Stephens, 87, passed away at McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe, NC.

Because she was looking forward to her birthday and wanted a party, the memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home

Bobbie was born March 10, 1936, in Anson County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Claude Lee Cook and the late Elease Nora Bolton Cook. She worked in textiles most of her life and had been employed with Wade Manufacturing and later retired as an inspector at Wansona.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Christine Thompson of Mt. Gilead and Doris Marsh of Ludowici, GA; her sister-in-law, Joyce Cook of Wadesboro and her nieces and nephews and their families which includes, Tina Marsh, Sherry Johnson, Amber Johnson and Dakota Scott who, along with her sister, Doris were her caregivers that she called her angels.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Stephens, and her sisters and brother, Joyce Alexander, Maxine Roberts, Betty Rose Bridges, Brenda Johnson, Pete Cook, and infant, Vivian Cook.
