Bobby Mr. Wallace

PEACHLAND - Mr. Bobby Wallace, 81, died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Carolinas Health Care System Anson in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Dr. Kinney Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the funeral home. Bobby was born April 17, 1934 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late William Thomas Wallace and the late Rosella Brock Wallace. He was retired from Anson County Parks and Recreation as Supervisor with more than 24 years of service.He was a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving are his children, Dianne (Bill) Oliver of Gibsonville, George (Lisa) Wallace of Polkton and Paula (Tony) Lear of Lilesville; his grandchildren, Billy Oliver and Brandon Oliver both of Mebane, Angela Wilson of Burlington, Bobby Lee Wallace and George Wallace, Jr. both of Polkton, Ben Wallace of Topeka, KS, Katie Kraft of Lima, OH, Anthony Knight of Raleigh and Jessica Lear of Lilesville; 17 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Charles Wallace and Johnny Wallace both of Wadesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Wallace and brothers and sisters, Plase, Lee, and Hampton Wallace, Nancy Teal, Carolyn Wuerpel and Peggy Trexler.
