Brenda Joyce Tarlton Cranford

LILESVILLE- Mrs. Brenda Joyce Tarlton Cranford, 68, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at her son's home in Chesterfield, SC. Memorial services will be 2:00pm Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Leavitt Funeral Home. The interment will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens on a later date. The family will greet friends Friday 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Renee McCormick, 73 Jim Hanna Lane, Wadesboro, NC. Brenda was born in Anson County on February 2, 1943, a daughter of the late Clayton Marshall Alexander and Rowena 'Pet' Honeycutt Tarlton. She had worked at Anson Shirt Company till it closed then Hornwood Inc. and later with Glenn Mfg. Surviving are her companion of 25 years, James Dean of Lilesville; her sons, Keith (Debra) McCormick of Jefferson, SC, Jeff (Renee) McCormick of Wadesboro and Todd (Beverly) McCormick of Chesterfield, SC; her grand children, Nicole, Bryan and Jeffery McCormick; her great-grand children, Kensley, Ryleigh and Zach McCormick; her sibling, Clayton Tarlton, Frankie Jordan and Carol Tarlton. Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Tarlton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 309 E. Main St. Bennettsville, SC 29512.
