WADESBORO - Mrs. Brenda Cook Johnson, 72, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at the home of her son in Rockingham.
There will be a visitation from 5:00pm until 6:30pm Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Leavitt Funeral Home with a memorial service following in the chapel with Rev. Rob Washington officiating.
Brenda was born April 27, 1943 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Claude Cook and the late Elease Bolton Cook. She had worked as manager at McDonalds Restaurant in Wadesboro and later worked at Welika Restaurant and Dollar General.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy B. and Natasha Johnson of Rockingham; her grandchildren, Tina Howard and husband, David of Wadesboro, Amber Johnson, Sherry Johnson, Alyssa Clark and husband, Josh and Breanna Whitt all of Rockingham; her brother and sisters, Pete Cook and wife, Joyce and Bobbie Stephens and husband, Willie both of Wadesboro, Christine Thompson and husband, Jerry of Mt. Gilead and Doris Marsh of Ludiwici, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Richmond and Anson Counties, 1119 N US HWY 1, Rockingham, NC 28379 or Ambassador Health and Rehab, Activity Department, 2051 Country Club Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
The family is most grateful for the loving care Brenda received from both the staff at Richmond County Hospice and Ambassador Health and Rehab.
