Bruce Wallace Canipe

MORVEN – On Friday, January 28, 2022, Bruce Wallace Canipe, 69, passed away peacefully at McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe. 

            There will be a memorial service at 2:00pm Saturday, February 5, 2022, at The Red Barn, 3710 Crawford Pond Rd., Morven, with Rev. Thomas Burch officiating. Interment will follow for immediate family at the Teal Canipe Cemetery in Morven. 

            The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the Barn. 

            Bruce was born May 14, 1952, in Sumter, SC and was the youngest son of the late Evander Flay Canipe and the late Rosa Teal Canipe. He was a 1971 graduate of Oak Hill Academy and was the owner and operator of Canipe Grading and Landscape. 

            Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; Teresa Kiker Canipe of Morven; their children, Scott Canipe (Heather) of Wadesboro and Jennifer Wright (Kyle) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Nora and Rylee Canipe and Laurel Wright; his brothers and sister, Marvin Canipe (Christa) and Jule Canipe (Rena) both of Morven and Evelyn Stutz of Lake Wylie, SC. 

            In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W, Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110 or to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave #100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
