Carl William "Monkey" Shue, Jr.

ANSONVILLE - On Friday, August 23, 2024, Mr. Carl William "Monkey" Shue, Jr., 79,  passed away peacefully at his home.

Funeral services will be at 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 25, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Doug Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Wadesboro.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday.

Carl was born October 24, 1944, in Anson County, NC, and was the son of the late Carl William Shue and the late Cornelia Thomas Shue. He was a well-known handyman in and around Anson County and was an accomplished carpenter and plumber. 

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his brother, Larry Shue of the home; his step-daughter, Amanda Lawing (Harold) of Matthews; his grandchildren, Charles Johnson, Kristen Chambers, Rylan McGowen, Holden Cook, Carter Cook, Connor McGowen and Caden McGowen and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Campbell Shue and his brother and sister, C.B. Shue and Betty Shue Hillman.
