WADESBORO - Mrs. Carolyn Lang Vaughn, 62, died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at The Brian Center in Monroe. Funeral services will be 3:00pm, Sunday, September 8, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Carolyn was born July 6, 1951 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Lonnie Henry Lang and the late Ruby Lee Brower Lang. She had worked for many years at Little Cotton Mfg. and later drove a school bus for Anson County Schools and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Roger Vaughn of the home; her children, Michael Vaughn of Wadesboro, Vickie Vaughn Newsome of Cheraw, SC and Steven Vaughn of Morven; her grandchildren, Brittany, Bethany and Zane Vaughn and Charles Thompson, III; and her brothers and sister, Philip Lang of Cheraw, SC, Scott Lang of Wadesboro, and Gale Lang Teal of Hartsville, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister, L.H. Lang, Jr. and Tammy Lang. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
