Cathleen "Cathy" Jackson Farris

POLKTON – On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Mrs. Cathleen “Cathy” Jackson Farris, 64, passed away peacefully at McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe.

Funeral services will be 6:00 PM, Monday, December 16, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Jenkins officiating. 

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. 

Cathy was born March 13, 1960, in Queens, NY and was a daughter of the late John William Jackson and the late Irene Ann Tinnenberg Jackson. She had worked for many years in medical billing. 

She enjoyed painting, drawing, stained glass, gardening with plants and flowers, watching and feeding birds, playing games and puzzles on the computer, fishing and going camping. 

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years, James Farris of the home; her children, Scott Adams (Misty) of Gastonia, Isaac Peek of Port Richey, FL, Jacob Peek (Courtney) of Summerville, SC, Jessica Brackett and Jamie Martin both of Shelby; her grandchildren, Lucas, Dillan, Lilly, Emory, Jaden, Cane, Austin and Justin; 2 great-grandchildren and 4 surviving siblings. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
