Cathy Tarlton Cowick

MORVEN - On Thursday, May 2, 2024, Mrs. Cathy Tarlton Cowick, 58, passed away peacefully.

There will be a memorial service at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 5, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating. The interment will be at a later date.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.

Cathy was born September 22, 1965, in Anson County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Robert Eugene Tarlton and the late Jane Lee Grim Tarlton. She was a graduate of Anson High School. She was employed for 18 years as a front desk clerk at Days Inn in Wadesboro and later worked at Knit Right in Hamlet.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kristie Cowick of Wadesboro and Darrell Cowick, Jr. (Chrissy) of Morven; her grandchildren, Hannah, Chelsea, and Shelby; her sisters and brother, Barbara Jacobs of Ft. Mill, SC, Robert Tarlton and Mary Lee Eddins (Dewey) both of Wadesboro and her nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Lynn Cowick, and by her sister, Cindy Cronk.
