These communities of faith with which she has been a part of embraced her, loved her and encouraged her on her faith journey.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Jody Coward and Rebecca of Wake Forest, NC; her twin grandsons, Jacob and Colton; her neighbor, who was much like another son to her, Ken Caulder of Wadesboro , Glenn Caulder of Wadesboro; her cousins, Barbara Coggin of Wadesboro and Joe Frank Cook and wife, Nena of Monroe, NC and their families; special family friends, Tommy Diggs of Lilesville, Rachel Lockler and Susie Curtiss both of Wadesboro, and Johnny and Talisha Pope of Polkton and her fur babies, Coco and Izzy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Winston “Buddy” McLaurin, Jr. and by her dear friend, Virginia Baker, who Cathy loved like a mother.
Cathy’s family is most grateful to Anson Community Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for her, for her community of friends who have loved and supported her through this journey and most recently to the staff of Hospice Haven in Rockingham who made her final days the best they could be with dignity and caring.
