Charles Michael "Mike" Gaddy

WADESBORO - On Sunday, October 30, 2022, Mr. Charles Michael "Mike" Gaddy, 69, passed away peacefully at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Dr. Harry Workman officiating. The interment will be private in Anson Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mike was born June 28, 1953, in Wadesboro, NC, and was the son of Mary Smith Gaddy and the late William D. "Bill" Gaddy. He was a 1972 graduate of Bowman High School and attended Richmond Technical College where he played golf. He retired from Dan River in Morven, after working 28 years.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed time spent at Twin Valley Country Club in Wadesboro where through the course of the years, he scored 5 holes in one.

Mike was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Wadesboro where he was a member of the Charles Riddle Sunday School Class. He was recognized for several years for having perfect attendance in Sunday school.

Surviving are his mother, Mary Gaddy; his sister and brother-in-law, Gail Gaddy and John Neal of Oak Island; his nephews, Zach Neal of Washington State and Ben Neal and wife, Amy of Durham; his great-nieces and great-nephew, Anna, Luke, Emma, and Stella and his cousins and friends.

Mike's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Anson Health and Rehab for the love and care they have shown him over the years while he was a resident there.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Blessings in a Book Bag Ministry, P.O. Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
