Charles Calvin Scrunchie Mr. Mills

WADESBORO - Mr. Charles Calvin 'Scrunchie' Mills, 62, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, April 14, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Swaringen officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will greet friends Saturday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home and other times at the home. 'Scrunchie' was born July 14, 1950 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Charles Harold Mills and the late Betty Lou Powell Mills Harrington. He was a self-employed carpenter, a member of Cathedral Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Tammie Baker Mills of Wadesboro; his children, Charles 'Scooter' Mills and wife, Melody of Aberdeen; his daughters, Genia Feagin and husband, Sonny and Brittany Baker all of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Ashleigh, McKenzie and C.J. Mills, Breyanna Baker, Hanna Baker and Paysleigh Feagin and his aunt, Marguerite Coley of Wadesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jay Lear and by his brother and sister, Larry Mills and Carol Lou Mills.
