Charles David Sheppard

LILESVILLE - On Sunday, February 23, 2025, Mr. Charles David Sheppard, 65, passed away at Atrium Health Anson in Wadesboro.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2025 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Savannah Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the funeral home.

Charlie was born February 4, 1960 in Stanly County, NC and was a son of the late Jerry Sheppard, Jr. and the late Frances Elizabeth Mauldin Sheppard. He was retired from Wade Manufacturing with 26 years of service.

He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and having breakfast with his buddies at Bojangles.

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen Brayboy Sheppard; his son, Charlie Sheppard, Jr. of Monroe; his step-children, Melody Patrick and Brandy Hough both of Wadesboro and Jason Hough of Hartsville, SC; his step-grandchildren, Victoria Patrick, Coby Livingston and Dylan Livingston; his sisters, Nancy Medlin of Marshville, Sue Bowers of Albemarle, Linda Gray of Hendersonville and Debbie Goodwin of Lilesville and his nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Sarah Calvin, Louise Cotton, Mildred Miller, Jerry W. Sheppard, John Sheppard, Thomas Sheppard, and Allen Sheppard.
