WADESBORO - Mr. Charlie Jack Taylor, 91, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at NC State Veteran's Home in Salisbury.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. W.T. 'Bo' Treadaway and Rev. Ronnie Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jack was born May 27, 1922 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Henry Foster Taylor and the late Jennie Bett Shepard Taylor. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the United State Army, having served during World War II.
Surviving are his children, Brenda T. (Dwight) Howard of Mooresville, Jackie (Linda) Taylor of Wadesboro and Audrey T. Gibson of Sharon, SC; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother and sisters, Paul Taylor of Apex, Zettie Marsh of Monroe and Bettie Haney of Marshville; his brother-in-law and best friend, Fred Cowick of Rockingham and his sister-in-law, Laura Wilhoit of Ansonville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Cowick Taylor.
