Christine Hildreth Tucker

LILESVILLE - Mrs. Christine Hildreth Tucker, 93, died peacefully Friday, September 2, 2001 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center, Wadesboro. There will be a service to celebrate her life at 2:00pm Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Forestville United Methodist Church with Rev. Norm Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Christine was born September 26, 1917 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Elijah and Bessie Grooms Hildreth. She retired from Anson County Schools and was a life-long member of Forestville United Methodist Church and was faithful to the church and it's ministries until her time of declining health. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Jimmy Gregory of Winston-Salem and Peggy and Bobby Huffman of Wadesboro; her daughter-in-law, Beth Tucker of Little River; her sister, Ruby Avery of Hamlet; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luin Tucker, her son, Carroll 'Bish' Tucker and by her sisters and brother, Pauline Moss, Susie Smoak and Jack Hildreth.
