MORVEN – On Monday, November 30, 2020, Mr. Christopher Eugene Sorrenti, 48, went to be with his Lord and Savior while at Atrium Health Pineville. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, December 7, 2020 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Morven Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4:00pm until 6:00pm Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the funeral home. Due to COVID 19 precautions and mandates, social distancing and wearing face coverings will be required. During the hours of visitation, only 10 people will be allowed in the visitation room at the time. Chris was born June 16, 1972 in Columbia, SC and was a son of Frank James Sorrenti and the late Brenda Blackburn Sorrenti Quackenbush. He was a 1991 graduate of Anson Senior High School. He has worked for Anson County Schools since 1989 as a bus driver and was a Correctional Officer 3 with the North Carolina Department of Corrections, working at Anson Correctional Institute in Polkton. He loved the Lord and was a member of Morven Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cynthia Deese Sorrenti; his children, Brandon Sorrenti and Madison Sorrenti both of Morven; his father, Jim Sorrenti and wife, Margaret of Gaston, SC; his “other Dad”, Randy Quackenbush of Morven; his brother, Jimmy Sorrenti and wife, Sissy of Pageland, SC and his niece, Courtney Sorrenti of Pageland, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anson Crisis Ministry, P.O. Box 797, Wadesboro, NC 28170. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
