Wadesboro- Mr. Clarence Fulton Carpenter Jr., 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 12, 2021.
Graveside services will be 2:00pm Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Hanna Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service.
Fulton was born June 28, 1942 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Clarence Fulton Carpenter and Ruby Lee Hilderbrand Carpenter. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. Fulton worked 30 years with West Kitting Mills and later worked in maintenance with Brown Creek Correctional for 15 years before retiring. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Hanna Carpenter of the home; his son, Toby Carpenter and wife Kimberly of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Chloe, Noah, Zoey, Jonah, Isaiah, Micah, Owen Fulton and Kristian; his former daughter-in-law, Keelie Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are his sisters, Barbara Lutz and husband, Larry of Waxhaw, Joyce Meachum and husband, Ray of Wadesboro, Betty Baucom and husband, Woody of Burnsville and Shirley Hinson and husband, Kenny of Burnsville.
