Monroe- Mr. Claude McQuage, Jr., 78, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe. Memorial services will be 2:00pm Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Legrand Kelly officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Interment will take place at Eastview Cemetery. Claude was born in Anson County, August 19, 1936 a son of the late Claude Bennett and Etta Mae McQuage. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. and was retired from textiles. Surviving are his wife, Bobbie Jean Threatt McQuage of Monroe; his sons, William McQuage of Monroe and Thomas McQuage of Locust; his brother, Jerry McQuage of Morven; and six grandchildren.
