POLKTON - Mr. Claude Lee 'June' Williams, Jr., 87, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare System Anson in Wadesboro.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Oakdale Baptist Church with Rev. Tracy Hicks and Rev. Arnold Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
June was born February 5, 1927 in Stanly County, NC a son of the late Claude Lee Williams and Lula Pinion Williams. He was retired from Wade Manufacturing Company with more than 50 years of service, a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and a proud veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his brothers, Wayne (Jahala) Williams of Aquadale, Bobby (Brenda) Williams of Albemarle and Larry(Carol)Williams of Wadesboro; his sister-in-law, Nellie Dutton of Wadesboro and his nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie Walters Williams and brother, Carlton Williams.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Meadowview Terrace Assisted Living for their care for June since he went to live there in November.
