WADESBORO - Mrs. Cletis Rorie Trexler, 84, died Thursday, October 15, 2015, at her home.
Funeral services will be 4:00PM Sunday at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Dumford and Mr. Ken Goins officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 3:00PM.
Cletis was born in Anson County on March 4, 1931, a daughter of the late Lonnie Carl Rorie Sr. and Lina C. Rorie. She worked for Burlington Mills (Ballet Hosiery) for 20 years and then as the activities director at Wadesboro Nursing Home until her retirement. She loved all things related to flower gardening and enjoyed being outdoors. Cletis also enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for friends and neighbors celebrating all occasions.
Survivors include her children, Clete (Marty) Trexler of Concord, Huey (Susie) Trexler of Norwood, and Robin Trexler of Wadesboro; two brothers, Jerry (Nan) Rorie of Lilesville and Carl (Sharon) Rorie Jr. of Elmwood, NE; a sister, Judy (Sam) Deese of Walterboro, SC; and her nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, Cletis was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Trexler and a sister, Carlene Martin.
