Cora Hildreth Falk

POLKTON - On Friday, April 14, 2023, Mrs. Cora Hildreth Falk, 91, passed away peacefully at McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe, NC.

There will a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Polkton Baptist Church with Rev. John Greene officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.

The burial will be private at Griffin Cemetery in Polkton.

Cora was born March 1, 1932, in Anson County, NC, and was a daughter of the late William Hampton Hildreth and the late Emma Catherine Wallace Hildreth. She was a 1950 graduate of Polkton High School and had worked as a telephone operator.

She was a member of Polkton Baptist Church and she dearly loved her church family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dohn (Kathy) Stubbs of Salem, VA and Myke (Ellen) Stubbs of Virginia Beach, VA; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and her nieces and nephews including, Judy Harden of Polkton, Vickey Henry of Waxhaw and Denise Whitley of Polkton who were more like children to her and her caregivers along with their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael John Falk, and her brothers and sisters, Bob Hildreth, Ed Hildreth, Lois Ragland, Beulah Hudson, Pete Furrand Beatrice Haire.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Polkton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 10, Polkton, NC 28135.
