Curtis Dennis "Possum" Carpenter

PEACHLAND - On Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 9:43 PM, Mr. Curtis Dennis "Possum" Carpenter, 67, passed away peacefully with his daughter, granddaughter and wife holding his hands at his home.

There will be a memorial service at 6:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2023 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.

The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

Dennis was born January 9, 1956 in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Curtis Billy Carpenter and the late Fannie Lee Woodard Carpenter. He attended Anson County Schools and had worked as welder with High's Welding.

Those lef to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Carpenter; his daughter, Amy Carpenter of Peachland; his granddaughter, Taylor Golden (Richie Temple) of Peachland; his great-grandson, Riot Temple of Peachland; his sister and brothers, Carolyn Carpenter Hamilton (Ronnie) of Polkton, Tommy Carpenter (Jackie) of Stanfield and Donnie Carpenter (Robin) of Polkton and his nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brothers, Marilyn Helms, Lynn Carpenter, Randy Carpenter and Rick Carpenter.
