WADESBORO – On Saturday, January 23, 2021, Mr. David Henry Hildreth, 91, went to be with Lord while being cared for at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Whitley officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
There will be no formal visitation prior to the services and the family will be available following the service at the cemetery to speak with anyone at that time.
David was born August 2, 1929 in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Paul Patrick Hildreth and the late Linnie Mae Williams Hildreth. He retired from owning his own plumbing business, Hildreth Plumbing in Wadesboro. Hew as a faithful member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Wadesboro.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Shirley Greene Hildreth; his children, David Hildreth Jr., Timothy Hildreth and Joseph Hildreth all of Wadesboro, Cathy Little (Dennis) of Rock Hill, SC, Angela Burgess (Jerry) of Peachland, Linda Austin (Shawn) of Marshville, Robert Cribb of Wadesboro and Timothy Cribb of Concord; his sisters, Martha Gulledge and Rena Garrison both of Wadesboro; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Eddins Hildreth and his sisters and brothers, Dora Sellers, Eunice Honeycutt, Linnie Mae Hanna John Hildreth, Paul Hildreth, Ben Hildreth, and Spare Hildreth.
