David Charles Jenkins

Polkton - Mr. David Charles Jenkins, 54, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC.

There will be a memorial service at 1:00 pm Sunday, October 17, 2021, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service.

A private burial will be in Poplar Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Polkon at a later date.

David was born July 21, 1967, and was a son of Barbara Carpenter Jenkins and the late Billy Ray Jenkins.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Trudy and Chris Parker of Marshville, Jessie and Damon Jones of Peachland, Amy and Russell Harrington of Alton, MO and Kelly Jenkins of Polkton; his nieces and nephews, Christie Parker and Tiffany Ruppe and husband, Chase of Marshville, Vaylan Moore of Marshville, Dexter Jones of Peachland, Dillon Harrington, Dalton Harrington and Devin Harrington all of Alton, MO, and his great-niece and great-nephew, Tucker and Charlee Ruppe of Marshville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Samaritan Colony, 136 Samaritan Dr, Rockingham, NC 28379 or Poplar Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, c/o, Emily Carpenter, 720 Ross Wright Rd., Polkton, NC 28135.
