Debra Connelly Sellers

            WADESBORO – On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Mrs. Debra Connelly Sellers, 67, passed away peacefully at her home.

            Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Perko officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.

            The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

            Debra was born October 24, 1956, in Aiken, SC, and was a daughter of the late Floyd Connelly and the late Betty Blackmon Connelly. She was a graduate of Bowman High School and Anson Community College, now South Piedmont Community College. She retired from Pilgrim's Pride as an accountant.

            She was an active member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and was supportive of the ministries within the church and her Sunday school class. She was a gifted quilter and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

            Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 49 years, David Sellers; her children, Dempsey Sellers of Wadesboro, Kimberly Smith (Sam) of Pleasant Garden, and Joshua Sellers of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Delilah and Eli Smith of Pleasant Garden and her sister, Karen Lee of Norwood.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Deep Creek Baptist Church, Missions Fund, 1280 Beck Rd., Wadesboro, NC 08170 or to Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center, PO Box 2095, Surf City, NC 28445.
