OBITUARY DENNIS GRAY MITCHELL POLKTON- Mr. Dennis Gray Mitchell, 67, died Friday, December 16, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home. Memorial services will be private. Dennis was born November 13, 1944 in Duplin County, NC, a son of the late Howard Gray and Violet Rivenbark Mitchell. He was retired from the Anson County School Maintenance Dept. with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed making furniture and working in his garden. Surviving are his children, Kim Mitchell Perry of Polkton, Amber Mitchell Lambert and husband, Randy of Oakboro, Amber Ritter and husband, Joseph of Seagrove, NC, and Jody Williamson and wife, April of Robbins, NC; his grandchildren, Courtney Perry, Devin Perry, Morgan Mitchell, Hunter Lambert, Michael Brock and Dustin Williamson. Dennis was preceded in death by his siblings, Gregory Mitchell, Marjorie Maree and Sandra Chewning. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Rd.
