Dennis James Thompson

Mr. Dennis James Thompson, 56, died Saturday, August 6, 2011, at his home. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2011, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with visitation following the service. Interment will be private in Eastview Cemetery. Dennis was born March 12, 1955, in Anson County, N.C., a son of the late Earl and Edna Ruth Deese Thompson. He was retired from the Wadesboro Housing Authority. Surviving are his sister-in-law, Carol F. Thompson of Monroe, and his nephews, Michael Thompson of Atlanta, Ga., and Brian Thompson of Louisville, Ky. His brother, Earl D. Thompson, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ansonia Theatre Project, c/o Anson County Arts Council, P.O.
