Dick Mr. Little

Mr. Robert Dickie Ross Little, Jr., 75, died Sunday, August 18, in CMC-Union Hospital, Monroe, NC. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at 10:00AM in Anson Memorial Park. Dick was born in Anson County on August 31, 1937, a son of the late R.D.R. Little, Sr. and Julia Adeline Fowler Little. As a boy, he was active in the Boy Scouts of America attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from local schools and attended N.C. State University. He worked side by side with his father in operating the Dick Little Farm and Gin Company and in later years running his own farming operation. Survivors include his sister, Susan Bennett (Allan) White of Hightstown, NJ; a brother, James Fowler (Joanne) Little of Washington, DC; a cousin Dr. Paul Bennett Little of Washington, DC; and a number of neighbors and good friends including James Flake. Memorials may be made to the Gulledge Volunteer Fire Department, 109 Baker Road, Wadesboro NC 28170, or to the charity of the person's choice. Leavitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
