WADESBORO - Mr. Dock Allen Holloway, 77, slipped away peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father with his faithful wife by his side, on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 while at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM Monday, July 3, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jean Pierre Swammunu Lhoposo officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Leavitt Funeral Home and other times at the home. Dock was born April 22, 1940 in Darlington County, SC a son of the late Dock Holloway and the late Alice Cox Holloway. He was a former employee of CMH Flooring and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Dock was an extremely hard worker and also enjoyed the outdoors. His hobbies included hunting and fishing and he could be seen daily on Morven Road walking his beloved four-legged family members, Pepper, Ginger, and Sage. Surviving are his wife, Carol Hodges Holloway; his most special and loved daughters, Janet Marie (Brian) Taylor of Lilesville and Alice Rose Holloway of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Gracie Mae Taylor and Zachary Scott Taylor and his brother, Martin (Virginia) Holloway of Polkton. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Janet Hodges of Wadesboro; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill (Arturo Rodriguez) Hodges of Miami, FL, Kathy (Dale) Kelly of Lilesville, Robert Hodges of Asheville, Linda (Willie) Tyson of Polkton and Steve (Tammy) Hodges of Greenville, SC; his nieces and nephews and their families; special family friends, Pat Frost, Missy, Jamie and Caleb Phifer, Buddy Williams and Sylvester Reid and Dock's three pups, Pepper, Ginger and Sage. The family wishes to thank Liberty Home Care and Hospice for the care and support for Dock and their family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Liberty Home Care and Hospice; the Alzheimers Association of North Carolina; or the National Kidney Foundation. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
